International Sales Manager

who knows the market

Are you well-versed in the sale of large volumes of (beef) meat? Then you’ll know that to do business successfully in Europe, you must respond quickly to fluctuating prices and stock levels. If you do this with great enthusiasm and achieve strong results, Intervlees has a fantastic opportunity for you!

Intervlees is a family-run business with a strong reputation in the international meat trade. Based in Brasschaat (Antwerp), it already serves a large portion of the European market. However, they are aiming for more, and that’s where we need you.

Your Profile

You know the market and where new opportunities lie, and you don’t let them slip by. To achieve your sales targets, you apply all your communication and persuasive skills from day one. A rejection never discourages you; rather, it motivates you to reach out to the next prospect or assist your fellow sales managers in closing a good deal. At Intervlees, they understand your drive to succeed individually, but they also recognise that collaboration leads to even better results. If you share this outlook, you won’t mind that, instead of a bonus scheme, the company offers an excellent salary and generous expense allowances.

What you will be doing

  • Sell Intervlees products to both existing and new customers
  • Maintain customer relationships and act as the first point of contact between the customer and the company
  • Proactively acquire new customers, using your creativity and initiative
  • Work closely with colleagues in the logistics department to ensure efficient deliveries in line with agreements
  • Monitor price developments closely and respond appropriately
  • Conduct market research and implement the marketing strategy

This is what you bring with you 

  • At least five years’ sales experience in the international meat trade, for example as a sales manager, salesman, trader, or account manager
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • You’re tough and resilient (you understand that customers and colleagues don’t always hold back)
  • Proficient in spoken and written Dutch or English, and French or German, or other major European languages
