Quality Assurance Officer

(Kwaliteitsmedewerker QC/QA)

Rationtech is a well-established name in South Africa, and has recently started making its mark in the Netherlands. With a rapidly growing market share, the volume of incoming and outgoing deliveries, as well as packaging and repackaging, is increasing significantly. Hence their need to expand quality assurance and quality control. Your main task will be QA/QC, but you will also handle administrative and logistical tasks. Within the company you will have plenty of opportunities to further develop yourself.

This is what you will do as Quality Assurance Officer in Rotterdam:

• Manage certificates and implement FSSC 22000
• Monitor compliance with hygiene rules in production and logistics, and conduct checks on the product quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Liaise with external parties both in The Netherlands and internationally, such as the NVWA, auditors, suppliers, and other business partners in countries like South Africa, Sweden, and Estonia
• Perform administrative tasks such as entering invoices and packing slips, processing changes in the ERP system, and managing time registration for temporary staff

Your profile:

With your interest in food and a real hands-on mentality, you have an immediate advantage. Add to that your open, transparent, and friendly character, and you are almost hired already! What you will bring with you:

• A relevant education, for example Food Technology, Applied Science, Laboratory Assistant, and at least 2-3 years’ working experience in the food industry (e.g. as a quality assurance officer, quality coordinator or quality control officer)
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HACCP
• A meticulous work approach with a focus on procedures, rules and structure. And at the same time a flexible attitude, because there is still a lot to set up
• A good command of English (the company language at Rationtech)
• A full permit to work in The Netherlands
