Sales Manager

who knows the market

Are you experienced in the sale of large volumes of beef from South America, North America, Namibia, New Zealand or Australia? Then you know that to do business successfully in Europe, you have to respond very quickly to fluctuating prices and stock levels. If you do that with great enthusiasm and good results, then Intervlees has a great job for you!

Intervlees is a family run business with a big name in the international meat trade. From Brasschaat (Antwerp), it already serves a large part of the European market. They are aiming for more, and that is where we need you.

Your profile

You know the market and where new opportunities lie. You do not let them go unused: to achieve your sales targets, you use all your communication and persuasive powers from day one. A rejection is never a disappointment to you, but an incentive to call the next prospect, or to help your fellow sales managers to close a good deal. At Intervlees they understand that you like to score yourself, but they also know that working together creates much better results. If you see it that way, then you won't mind that instead of a bonus scheme, the company offers an excellent income and generous expense allowances.

What you will be doing

  • Sell Intervlees products to existing and new customers
  • Maintain customer relationships and be the first point of contact between the customer and the company
  • Actively acquire new customers, using all your creativity
  • Together with your colleagues from the logistics department ensure that deliveries are made efficiently and according to what has been agreed
  • Closely follow price developments and respond adequately to them
  • Carry out market research and implement the marketing strategy
  • You report directly to the Managing Director

This is what you bring with you 

  • At least five years' sales experience in the international meat trade, for example as a sales manager, salesman, trader or account manager  
  • Excellent communication and social skills
  • You are a tough nut to crack (you know that customers and colleagues do not always hold back)
  • You speak and write well Dutch/English/German or English/German
